Somehow Christmas snuck up on me this year 
So I didn’t bake much. I did two batches of my chocolate almond toffee (technically not baking, but I don’t think my family would allow me to enter their homes without it). Otherwise just the boring standard toll house cookies and peanut butter cookies. But I did bake a new-to-me recipe for chocolate peanut butter balls that was a smashing success . . . the secret was that the chocolate flavor came from hot cocoa mix.
Given the snow on the ground and the fact we may reach 0 degrees for the first time in 20 years (wind chills have been below 0 the last few days), I’m thinking of making another batch of those tomorrow.
