Sup HOs? We are go for HOdown at Thumbs Up in Edison. This place has some unique options like a custom whole roast fish, build your own stir fry pot, and hot pot, among others. Nope–it got canceled when the projected attendance dwindled to three.
It actually did happen, I met up with MsBean’s family and the four of us ate some weird stuff. I’m game for another Edison Chowdown if there’s interest.
WHAT KIND OF WEIRD STUFF?!? 
Well, yes, we’re still interested. It just seemed like three people wasn’t enough for a real HOdown.
We’re available for dinner this month on 16, 17, 18, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30, and lunch 16, 17, 18, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29.
I looked at the menu and still couldn’t remember everything we had.
We had the whole roasted fish. There are at least 20 different things you can add to the basic fish but we decided to keep it “plain” so we had a baseline for future reference. It was delicious. We ate every morsel and joonjoon and The Sprout fought over the eyeballs. Next time I’d add some sort of noodle to soak up its amazing sauce.
We also had "Assorted Food in Hot and Spicy Wok (page 6 of the English menu). We selected Beef Artery, Squid Roll, Fat Beef Slices, Pork Meatball, and Cut Bovine Stomach for our proteins. For veggies we went with Lotus Root, Dried Bean Curd Strips, Enoki and Oyster Mushrooms, and one other we can’t remember.
The food was great. There’s more on the menu we wanted to try but we were pretty full the just above. Definitely interested in another Edison road trip.
