An interesting argument against gentrification (and one I tend to agree with, in general): looking at what’s happening in certain areas of the Los Angeles basin, I do think we are losing some of the most unique, great tastes. What we’re getting in their place are a lot of restaurants that kind of seem the same, and are a heck of a lot pricier.
