Stopped by The Watch House cafe in Bridport on the way to Plymouth today.
I’m glad I made a booking as it was quite busy for a Monday lunchtime in February.

My husband got the whole Dover sole special. It was excellent.
I kept stealing bits of the samphire and crayfish, which I found irresistible.
My son went with scampi and chips:
And I was the sole (sorry for the bad pun) non-seafood order with a toastie of roast pork, stuffing and applesauce in local Wobbly Cottage sourdough. With a side of chips!
There were some baked treats displayed out front and the Dorset apple cake looked very nice. So we got a piece of that served warm with clotted cream. And tiramisu, which was a massive portion very heavy on the mascarpone. The Dorset apple cake was fantastic - really lovely flavour and texture. Forgot to take photos of dessert.
