The Viennetta is back!

I don’t remember this. How did I miss it? Looks pretty good! Any memories?

I don’t know about sophisticated, but think Baskin Robbins or DQ ice cream cake :birthday:
This is a good thing in a bad time.

Where I am in the world, it has never gone away.

But then, where I am in the world is where it was invented in the early 1980s. I’ve never been particularly fond of it so their long running advertising slogan doesnt work for me - “One slice is never enough”.

FWIW, its current listing on my normal supermarket’s website:

I vaguely remember the Viennetta but don’t recall trying it back then. The article says it has “an impossible texture, like cold fluff or sweet memory foam”. Memory foam? That doesn’t exactly make me want to run right out and buy one.:slightly_smiling_face:

Can it bring back my memories of the 70’s? :sunglasses: :open_mouth:

In my overactive imagination, I’ve labelled it “sweet foam cake” clumsily translated into Danish, but brought the resulting “Sød skumkiks” to English speakers to see whether they think “sod scum-kicks” is a fair description. It’s probably time for me to put myself to bed.
