What i find most disturbing is the complete disconnect between these chickens that become cherished pets and the chicken on the plate for dinner. How do you explain that to the kids?

The haves and the haves-not. I have a feeling that we are going backward in some ways instead of forward. Very perverse way of having farm animals.
By the way, instead of offering vintage, red-wood organic homes for the chickens, they should let them run freely outdoors.

Doesn’t seem to be a healthy diet.
