Haha, my head went right there too. I know some politicians who would gladly brag about not having to pay for common, every day necessities, while vilifying those who need assistance as parasites.
I am a big fan of Japanese rice, and eat the Japanese varieties (but grown domestically in the US) as my main go-to rice. I know it’s something the country takes great pride in, and there may still be a stigma on non-Japanese grown rice. It seems such an easy solution to a big problem, and may change more perspectives on imported rice.
