The Price of a Cup of Coffee

A lot of idiots swallowed this particular conspiracy theory. It would be hilarious if it didn’t almost certainly result in unnecessary loss of life.

Tell him to leave his cell phone at home and not wear his Apple Watch. And disconnect the GPS device in his car or, if he’s in NYC, not use a MTA card on the subway or bus. Or not walk down a street with cameras, public or private. We’re already collecting the information to know where he’s been & where he is. Now, if we could only develop a good data retrieval system to make any use of it. Other than the little preference tracking ads popping up on the sides of my computer screen as I type this.

Just so you know. I was not referring to you with my one word comment.

At one time there was a “back room “ here where a discussion could continue, out of the public eye, as long as it stayed civil. If it still exists, that might be an option for threads like this where some people are so easily offended. Just a thought for future threads.

I didn’t think you were referring to me.

I thought you were referring to whoever flagged the posts.

Curious about this “back room” you mention. Mind you, I took a break from this site soon after it started, and only came back in… ? I don’t even remember, TBH, but I don’t recall anything like this.

The entire site, every single discussion and every single post here are “in the public eye,” so to speak, and as long as people stay civil, these threads continue… usually until those “easily offended” either make their feelings known in that very thread, stay away from these discussions altogether, or hit the flag button :woman_shrugging:t2:

Scroll down to post #79.

So, a public thread anyone can read & comment on. I don’t see any “back room.”

Did you sign in again to access the thread?

I clicked on your link.

You didn’t get my point, but I’m ok with that.
