The Lost Kitchen ... worth the hype?

Anyone been to The Lost Kitchen?

How was it?

Reservations only by postcard.

I’ve never heard of this show, but this fills in some gaps. I was up in Ogunquit, ME around labor day and several of the stores were showcasing her cookbooks, amongst other household, kitchen, food-related items. I flipped through them, but was wondering what her story was and why she had these old-timey looking cookbooks.

You appear to be posting an extended commercial. Why?

I’ll never know (lack of patience for that game) but I enjoyed watching the Woks of Life family going there

I haven’t been to The Lost Kitchen, but I can recommend Aragosta
Similar, in that it can be hard to get a reservation and it’s in an out of the way location in Maine.

sounds interesting - but suffers from the same issue as outdated on-line menus…

DINNER AT THE MILL

Stay tuned…

2024 reservation information forthcoming on the 1st day of Spring!

Any moment now…! Dinner details available on March 19th, 2024, the first day of Spring!

=======================
and no further information available . . .

How so?

It’s a seasonal restaurant.

Well it’s a year behind but I assume it’s been a busy year. I’m guessing nothing will happen until next spring when they will presumably be accepting postcards again.

And @HappyOnion I doubt they ever publish a menu, either you are comfortable putting yourself in their hands or not.

oh, the menu thing is nothing related to them - just a general nit I’m burdened with (g)

I reacted to the post because somewhere in the dusty dead brain cells . . . I recall reading about a super-duper place that only did reservations by mail/postcards.

how can one plan a trip around something so unpredictable?
and why is there no on site information about the postcard dining experience?
(sigh) too many questions . . .

how so?

absence of information indicated . . . not even a sold out / closed for the season . . .
nothing - complete lack of any attention the web site . . .
