A different class of criminality to what I usually hear about. My BiL drinks in a pub which is regularly visited by the area’s shoplifters, selling off the food they’ve nicked. Yes, he does buy the very cheap steaks

I used to buy brand new books from a street person. He knew my authors and my genres.
My last purchase was when he “found” a book i had mentioned in passing.
That made the theft more real to me somehow. And it brought home my own culpability as i thought about it.
