I’ve never let that stop me, sadly …
If you already have a cast iron or ECI Dutch oven, it will work fine on an induction burner. I used a 6 qt. one for the picture shown.
McCain frozen fries work well for me in the air fryer, but timing is tricky. The air fryer is a mode setting on the oven, and it generally takes a little longer than the package instructions say.
Since you already have a wok, it’s most likely carbon steel and induction friendly. It would be a matter of matching the footprint of the floor of the wok to the induction unit, but that’s still another piece of equipment although easier to store than a cast iron pot.
Those are the best frozen fries, hand down. And they come out perfectly in the air fryer.
Absolutely the times given are on the low side …I also lower the temp a bit to keep the edges from burning. I’m very satisfied with the results I get.
Lately I’ve been doing the cold fryer trick. Cut the fries to size and put them into the fryer oil cold. Set it to 375, and let em go. Not as good as frying in 300 , freezing, then back into 375; but it works pretty well.
