The Costco thread 2025 [Toronto]

Went in to eataly to checkout their Wagyu sale hmmm. Other than the Japanese Wagyu not impressed. Maybe Costco here will start to bring in Japanese Wagyu from Japan? Canadian prime is special enough for moi

Eat all the Japanese Wagyu you can. Down south here in the US, who knows how much it will cost with tariffs.

Kirkland organic Madagascar vanilla beans: 20 in a glass jar for $14.99. I bet they disappear fast.

Thanks! The Farm Girl cinnamon crisp cereal is delicious and pretty healthy, though it is sweetened with monkfruit juice which may not be for everyone. It’s a great price for a large bag.

I believe the vanilla beans are $14.99 for anyone interested.

Thanks for sharing I don’t eat cereals but a friend who’s seeking monk fruit sweetened items would appreciate that so will share this farm girl item for sure

Today’s trip was long overdue. Thorncliffe location lots of new finds. The truffle cream sauce looked good but I feel a premade one (cream based ) are rarely worth it. Few new interesting items such as pasta, olive taster. Boursin 3 pack at 10$! No brainer. The wine advent calendar hmmm is not the one I have been seeing on social media which is a pity. The sushi and sashimi boxes didn’t entice at all

The Farm Girl is delicious. And healthy if you’re okay with monk fruit sweetener. We’re almost finished our second bag.

Thanks I recalled your rec and picked up one for a friend who had requested it. Will see how it goes

Thank you! "Dubai Chocolate” craze hasn’t subsided. I’m exercising caution and abstaining from pistachio products these days, sadly.

I hear ya. I have been staying away from even pistachio gelato for a month or two now. I for pickup the pistachio short bread set though as is made in Italy. Will report back as only tried one type and it’s decent.
Has anyone tried the truffle cream sauce? I find that jarred cream based sauces are abysmal. I get the truffle paste from Costco and use fresh cream and good Parmesan to get very good results.

Unfortunately it’s not always clear as to where companies are sourcing pistachios for their products. I believe it’s only Iranian pistachios affected by recall.

I bought 2-pack of pistachio butter (BC company) from Costco online. I already finished one jar without ill effects but decided to hold off on 2nd jar.

The cookies are made in Italy with the company address being Bronte. You are correct though doesn’t mean the sourcing is locally done.
Btw the farm girl cereals are on promo till Nov 23. Ordered a variety pack for a friend as the one from store went well. You can order six of same flavor as well

Already ordered and received! Too bad there were 2 packs of fruit loops. I’ll eat them but would have preferred 2 Cocoa Puffs.

Question - has anyone tried these? I know Au Pain Dore is owned by the multi-billion $ Groupe Le Duff and not expecting local bakery quality, but thinking this could be a nice thing to have on hand to go with a soup or make a quick Jambon Beurre? 20 baguettes for $15:
