Anchovies are back Yeah!
Curious about the Skylar Rae Cherries. They were advertised in the latest Longoâs ad as new cherry variety thatâs âquite possibly the sweetest cherry youâll ever eatâ, no price listed though.
They look a lot like Rainier or Queen Anne cherriesâŚ
Apparently theyâre genetically distinct. I will have to try to find some!

Hope itâs not just hype at $15.99/box
I bought a smaller box that cost $9.99 at Sunripe Market, a small market that has locations in LondonOnt and Sarnia.
The Skylar Rae cherries I purchased were nice and firm, and unblemished. They werenât sweeter than Rainier cherries, Bing cherries, or other sweet cherries Iâve had in Ontario or Europe.
Of course, sweetness can vary depending on heat units and rain.
Theyâre fine.
My local Ontario red cherries (variety unknown) were just as sweet.
The cherries from Niagara and from orchards along Lake Erie are now available. Iâll move this cherry talk off the Costco thread! LOL.
Thank you for the review. Im going to wait for Canadian cherries at Costco. They usually arrive later in the summer if I remember right.
Theyâre ready now, and over the next 3 weeks or so! I picked 2 sour cherries today. The Blenheim cherries are ready, too.
