The Cellar at Beecher's Cheese (Flatiron)

I’ve been to the upstairs store, but never the downstairs restaurant. It is LOUD. AF. And dark. And understaffed, so the service isn’t very speedy (which was not our poor server’s fault - she was doing her level best). But if you like cheese, you can have a very nice meal. I had a grilled mac & cheese, because (don’t laugh) I’ve had one before, at One Mile on Houston, and I wanted to compare the two. It was excellent, and oddly not very heavy at all, so I had no trouble finishing it, and I couldn’t make it through a Korzo’s beet burger in one sitting. The side salad was drowned in dressing, though, so it didn’t do its job very well, of making the sandwich feel more virtuous.
