I just finished watching the full season 4 and really enjoyed it. However, I feel that some people may not like it. It is much better than season 3. The cast and acting is phenomenal. Jamie Lee Curtis deserves an Emmy for her performance in episode 9. The extended 1 hour and ten minute wedding episode #7 was very good.
I probably cried more throughout this ‘comedy’ than I do at most dramas.
For those expecting a show mainly filmed in the restaurant, you will be disappointed. Most of the episodes occur outside of the restaurant. The show is mainly about dysfunctional families (blood and work place).
The season finale could serve as a series finale.
I get alerts because I think I started the thread, but I stopped watching after season one. I wasn’t wanting the intensity and drama. I am tempted to catch up from to time, so I’m happy to see the thread active.
Season 4 was in some ways a return to form, but in some ways not. The forward momentum of the plot was welcome after the meandering of Season 3, but despite the continuing themes of dysfunctional relationships and workplace stress, the stress level for the audience is dialed way back from Seasons 1 and 2.
I really enjoyed the season (and once again, the final scene sets up another season, so I expect they’ve planned a five-season run). I have to say, I don’t enjoy JLC in this role; I get that Donna is melodramatic by nature (and that’s part of the dysfunction), but I find the portrayal annoying. YMMV.
I just started watching season 4 . I’m liking it. This is what the realty business I’ve been working for for 5 years . Might be turning over to the siblings. Right .
The law states anyone who does not carry a California contractors license cannot do any work for more than 1,000 dollars including labor and materials for each job . Going to explain tomorrow. Tired of going against scab work . Might not make sence to everyone. Dealing with people without knowledge pretending to be knowledgeable.
I agree with everything you said, pretty much. I would like to see some stuff resolved next season (although a lot was resolved in this one). I thought the surprise revelation in the finale could have been set up better, also.
