Nancy had book group, so I was alone for dinner, and had just reviewed a glowing report from my son in law and granddaughter about a big improvement in the already excellent burgers at The Avenue. So to the Avenue I went.

They seem to have raise the heat on the grill so that there’s a remarkable crust now on the hand-formed burger patties.
Oh – You may have noticed the odd color of dip on the side of my plate. The people next to me were sharing an order of wings, and the buffalo sauce inspired me to ask for that rather than ketchup (which I deplore) for my fries. What an improvement!
The Avenue’s wings, by the way, are among the best around.
