I have my tickets for the 417 WhiskeyFest. It happens in Springfield, MO. If you need a reason or excuse to go to Branson, it’s just up the highway. I have been for the last 2 years and it is fun. They get most of the big distillers because of the Brown Derby Liquor stores. Springfield is a happening town. Lots of new restaurants and a wonderful new farmers market on the south side of the James River freeway. Besides the produce there is a nice selection of meat producers and cheese makers.
ANd if you head down to Branson you can check out the Copper Run Distillery for some samples of real Ozark whiskey.
