Thanksgiving Dinner in Dallas

We are headed to Dallas for Thanksgivng. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice Thanksgiving dinner? It doesn’t need to be traditional necessarily but we would like a restaurant with good food and atmosphere.

Here are some restaurants that have been suggested to me but many of them close at 3:00 pm. Thank you!

Last Thanksgiving, I went with a few other people to Ruth’s Chris in Houston, although there is a location in Dallas. It was truly a delicious meal! They offered their traditional turkey and stuffing and their regular menu. The Caesar salad was probably the best I’ve ever had. The turkey was amazingly melt in your mouth delicious. I would certainly go there again.

In addition to Lambowner’s suggestion, your post was very informative as well. I’m not a FB user but from what I could see, that DFW food board looked like the place to be. You should at least post the link again in case Laura didn’t see it. Just m2c.:slightly_smiling_face:

I recommended that DFW group because it’s always coming up in my recommended groups on FB and it looked active and informative. But I only actually joined it after recommending it here. I immediately started getting so many messages, invitations, and notifications from the group and individual members that no amount of tweaking settings could stop, so I thought it best to delete the recommendation.

Not in Dallas but Mr. PennyG and I ate our Thanksgiving meal at Perry’s Steakhouse in San Antonio a couple of years ago. It was delicious … highly recommend.

If you can get to Fort Worth, my best meal was at Ellerbe Fine Foods.

In Dallas, my substitute would be Georgie (if Open).

Ellerbe is showing availability; Georgie may be closed for Thanksgiving as they only show up to Nov 25, but I don’t know how far ahead they book – it should be clear in a couple more days.
