Good to know. At this point he is grown and I need to save my micro management for other more pressing topics, such as his current unemployed status! He is capable I suppose of advocating for his own health needs.
My dairy intolerance (which I just found yesterday is sometimes referred to as CMPI, which stands for Cows Milk Protein Intolerance) showed up in my 50s, after a literal lifetime of enjoying dairy.
So childhood or genetics doesnt always have any say in how it works.
I love my family, but they are the ones most likely to forget about my struggle, or to try to serve me something that has “just a little” dairy
God love em eh? We learned of my kids allergy when he reacted badly to a bagel at circa 8 months. They did an allergy panel at that point and over the years, the peanut has gotten much stronger. So he just avoids. As an adult I heard about my uncle who like you developed a strong allergy to pistachio at 40ish after eating them all his life. His face blew up. Sometimes we just cross a threshold.
Supposedly the tendency toward being allergic is hereditary but not the specific type of allergy.
US (and Canadian?) Thanksgiving comes to the UK!
Looks like we’ll be hosting some of our single / widowed friends / peeps with no fam nearby this year ![]()
Depending on how many of them, we might go SUPER-non traditional and make hot pot.
But we got lots of time to plan yet.
How’d it taste?
I posted for inspiration. I have had their regular breakfast sandwich on a biscuit with bacon, egg, and cheese a dozen times, and it’s a good one.
I’m currently 120 miles away from that coffee shop. Have not tried that cranberry, chicken sausage, egg and Gouda sandwich yet!
Could sub Pumpkin Spice Gouda. LOL
I may make one.
