This Italian restaurant residing in a strip mall along E. Main Street in New Rochelle remains one of the best dining options in the Queen City, if not further out. Stopped in last night after a long hiatus and enjoyed the house made cauliflower croquettes with tomato basil dipping sauce, and a platter of tender oven roasted Cornish game hen served with braised carrots and fennel.
These days it is easy for an eatery to get lost in all the noise. Fratelli deserves better…

Dropped in for dinner again the other night. Ordered Chef Sal’s version of Chicken Scarpariello , one of my favorites, and it hit the mark: tender organic chicken roasted on the bone, sweet sausage, potatoes and hot peppers. Delish!
We did a little bounce in New Rochelle last night. First stop was Fratelli where we shared an order of Chef Sal’s fresh made Bruschetta with cocktails. This item has become so commonplace at restos that it has lost its appeal. But the version served here was as fresh made and herbal as you can get. Delicious!
