I think of the Tadich Grill constantly now. I’m so impressed with what they offered and wish I had a place I could go to nowadays and spend my hard earned money on quality seafood. The fishmonger and grocery stores here are sub standard in the quality of their offerings. Spenger’s stirs the good memories, too. Oh, those fresh oysters from the bar ![]()

I had a Hangtown Fry ($27) at Tadich yesterday for dinner. No sand dabs that night. Some info about the dish:
It was quite good. The oysters within were breaded and fried, and were nice with some crispy bacon in the omelette. It came with some small waxy red potatoes, and some tomatoes. I ate it with some of the free sourdough and butter.
I washed it down with a Martini.
