Maybe, just maybe you think you’ve had great tacos in the DC area. I certainly have my favorites.
But not since a trip to California have I had any like the two tacos I had at Tacos Lagos, an impossible to spot market with an antojitos counter in the back. In a strip mall in Chantilly.
Both tacos were glorious, stuffed, and drippingly juicy. In addition, there is a high table in the center of the market with a chili habanero jardinero you can add on for extra sauciness.
By the way, I got a lamb taco and a cabeza. Cabeza was crispy, surely cooked in lard. Lamb was fatty. Both were equal in unbridled deliciousness. $3 each, and two made a glorious meal.
