Swedish Egg Coffee - MN

Reporting from the MN State Fair here.

I had Swedish Egg Coffee for the first time yesterday. Had no idea what to expect so naturally I asked the people around me what it was. Apparently they add an egg to the grounds to clarify the coffee? Kinda like a raft in a stock. It was delicious and strong but not at all bitter.

Anyone familiar with this stuff?

Interesting! This is the only kind of egg coffee I know.

My mother used to add egg whites to campfire (boiled) coffee to clarify it .
