Supreme Taste - good Chinese BBQ and other dishes in [Toronto, Gerrard Chinatown]

Recently we wanted a quick meal decided to go to one of our local Chinese BBQ places just a couple of blocks from our house. Supreme Taste had replaced Sing Sing about 3 years ago, but we had yet to try it. Toronto Life had recently highlighted their roast pork, so we ordered that along with their duck. The pork had a nice crispy skin and was moist and fatty. The duck was had good flavour, with hints of five spice.

We ordered their beef with bitter melon on rice noodle. While the noodles were a bit overcooked, the overall dish was still yummy, a comfort food kind of dish.

We needed some vegetables so we went with snow pea leaves with king mushroom, which was simple and fresh.

This looks great.

I used to dine out a lot in Chinatown East.

My last meals near there would have been a couple Vietnamese meals in 2020. It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten Chinese food on that stretch.

An old boyfriend and I would drive down from North York for clams in black bean sauce at Pearl Court. I haven’t eaten In Chinatown east since Simon’s Wok closed.

I used to drive from North York to Pearl Court for dim sum. I never tried their clams.
