I think sucuk ekmek is Turkish for sucuk (sausage) on bread. Turkish choripan!
I’m familiar with Ekmek Kadaif, a type of kataifi dessert in Greece and Turkey made with a layer of custard and a layer of whipped cream in addition to the shredded phyllo/nuts/honey syrup layer. That is sometimes shortened to Ekmek in Greece.
The Turkish sucuk shares its root with Greek soutzoukakia- the little Izmir/Smyrna- oval meatballs served in a spiced tomato sauce.
I didn’t realize Ekmek was one of the Turkish words for bread until today.
