Visited a friend in SF I hadn’t seen in 40 years. Man, she looks great.!
She had made a res at a fave place of hers, Marlowe, down SOMA. They screwed up the res as they had a buy out that night. She was pissed! So I figured we take a little walk around and find an alternative.
Stumbled on Kaiyo Rooftop around the corner at 3rd and Townsend (not Pete), on the 12th floor of the Hyatt. Peruvian/Japanese. Peruvian is a fave and Japanese hers. Winner!
Very nice place that was able to seat us at 6p with no res on a Thurs.
Great staff. Fast and friendly service with a nice view of Russia … almost as goos as you can see from Alaska. Youngish crowd (welll …). Not painfully noisy.
Most enjoyable and varied menu. And … bonus points, El Tesoro reposado and Golden State Hard cider (nsa).
Civiche Clasico fresh and citrusy, Yucca Fries crispy delicious, Chicken Katsu Sando, Miso Black Cod, Kaiyo Roll. Everything fresh and tasty. Fast kitchen.
2 bills with tip and more adult bevs. We’d go again in a second.
