Stateline Road Smokehouse in Napa

Stateline Road Smokehouse
As if I didn’t eat enough over the last few weeks, I finally got there! A long way from Press, which was also a family favorite for a minute.

The BBQ, atmosphere, and service (counter service+a table side visit by the chef! ) were outstanding!

Chef Darryl Bell, Jr.!

We sampled a variety of traditional BBQ fare; baby back ribs, pulled pork, Mac and cheese, brisket sandwich. I usually prefer “real” spare ribs but the baby backs were a perfect balance of fat and tender lean. The pickles added the perfect acid and crunch. Also on offer and enjoyed by the table were curly fries, interesting salad.

And I had the Hamachi collar, which I don’t think could have been better a better introduction to the same. The meat was perfectly cooked; cooked through but still moist; perfectly seasoned.

Just about everything I didn’t try there, we got to go for dinner!

The caramelized banana pudding missed the shoot.

We got a bottle of the amazing spicy BBQ sauce, because one can never have too many condiments!

Stopped at Whole Spice in Oxbow to replenish the essentials+.

Then on to Model’s bakery because I have been watching too much GBBO.

I saw that on the specials as Secret Fish and I was hoping that someone in your party ordered that. And then I scrolled down and was positively swooning.

If you live in the EBay no need to visit Napa Valley any longer for Model Bakery goods. I just posted about their new bakery/cafe in Walnut Creek.
