Had an excellent meal tonight at State Room in San Rafael, right before we watched the biopic on MFK Fisher.
Superbly crafted cocktails, I had a particularly fiery one with jalapeno tequila finished with Scrappy’s firewater tincture bitters, a real burner!
Ordered the fried calamari, perfect texture and seasoned well, served with a variant of chili aioli. Followed by a pizza special with broccoli and calabrese peppers and sausage, pretty decent crust and quite acceptable in my view.
Service was fantastic, swift and super courteous. Front of the house and waitstaff were excellent. Recommend this place for a quick casual dinner for sure.
