We’ve been to St Thomas several times and to St John for day trips. Now we’re thinking of a week there with 3 generations. Where to eat? All foods and price points, but mainly seafood and mid-range. We’ll have a kitchen, so are interested in grocery and fresh seafood options. Many thanks to all.
You’re talking about the island and not the city in New Brunswick, right? They both have great seafood.
The island.
I missed the great seafood in my NJ days – except at n the Ironbound section of Newark
Saint John, the capital of New Brunswick in Canada, on the Bay of Fundy.
I don’t know anything about the New Brunswick in New Jersey.
There’s a St. John’s district in Portland Oregon too, just to complicate things more. Pretty good seafood there too.
Revenons a nos moutons!
Also, St John’s, Newfoundland.
Getting. back to my inquiry, has anyone recommendations for St John, the USVI island next to St. Thomas?
I haven’t been. My friend’s first husband was raised on St John, USVI.
His family was from New Jersey originally so he didn’t growing up with Caribbean food or regional VI dishes.
I went to their wedding in Barbados. The food was Bajan at the wedding.
I have friends who landed in St John, in order to visit Virgin Gorda.
When HO is quiet on some topics, I check Reddit.
Enjoy your visit.
Thanks! There are lots of options on St. Thomas. I’ve only been to a couple of beach bars on St. John – and the now closed Caneel Bay resort.
There are some FB groups, too, that help focus … carefully
