Day 2: Lunch & Desserts - Snowdon Deli & Orange Julep Montreal.
Whilst most tourists opt for the Montreal Smoked Meat at the iconic’ Schwartz '. We decided to follow the recommendations of a few local chefs and head over to another Montreal institution, ’ Snowdon Deli ’ instead. In our opinion, in addition to equally if not better tasting Smoked meat, Corn Beef and Brisket, Snowdon also offers a bigger and more varied menu.
The result? A most enjoyable casual lunch with stand-out sandwiches, Jewish deli fare and a mindbogglingly good Chicken soup with dumplings!
…and for desserts?! An ice cold house-special and ice cream cone from ’ Orange Julep ’ of course!!
