Tools . To go bag with deed to the house , insurance papers . Couple other items . Change of clothes for a week . Car ready to go . I might bring a few small items . Walk around yoir property and take a video of all your personal property and real property and your house inside and out .
Keep the video in the safe deposit box and pray the bank doesn’t burn up
The toughest part is looking at my fathers picture at 91 two years before he passed away with a smile in his walker . We had 24 hour a day homecare for him in the last year and a half .
My hardest is knowing how a first infantry marine fought every night waist deep in a swamp in Guadalcanal with death every night
for 6 months straight.

We have just been notified that our country AND CITY insurance will not be renewed. Broker is scrambling but we are unfortunately in the majority rather than a rarity.
My nail lady used to get flustered when she caught herself saying chicken when she meant kitchen. I thought it was sweet, and a lot better than I could do in her native language.
