[Singapore] Nyonya kueh from Chalk Farm, Paragon

It might have already two years old - but for me, Chalk Farm is my find of the year where cake-sized Nyonya kuehs are concerned. Chalk Farm at the basement of Paragon shopping centre has the richest, tastiest “kueh sarlat” I’d ever tasted in Singapore!

  1. Best “kueh sarlat” in town - creamy, pandan-scented, coconut crème-enriched “kaya” custard atop salty-sweet glutinous rice tinted blue using “bunga telang” - Nyonya tradition never tasted so good!

  1. “Kueh Lapis” - their version has 10-layers instead of the traditional 9-layers. Taste-wise, also pretty good, but not as outstanding as the “kueh sarlat”.

  1. Chocolate Guinness Cake – I wouldn’t mind more Guinness (alcohol) :joy:.

  1. Sugee cake - above average, although not as rich as Mary Gomes’ or Quentin Pereira’s:

Good selection of cakes - no time to try them all yet:
