I drive my wife nuts by keeping every fairly heavy (*) cardboard tube, whether from waxed paper, aluminium foil, parchment, whatever.

You never know what you can use them for. Building a tower of Babylon, maybe.

Or just bonking someone on the head.

(*) I don’t keep the light weight stuff, like what comes with Viva or Bounty paper towels. Just the stiffer guys.
