OK, WTAF is someone serving a hot dog in an alcoholic drink?

It appears to have a hole in it, so it’s a straw!

ETA: Which makes even more schlong-like…

I just finished a delightful dinner. Why’d you go and do that?

Good thing you didn’t have a hot dog for dinner!

I actually DON’T dislike those. In fact, after being out of the USA for 15 years, I bought a small bag at Dollar Tree and somewhat enjoyed them.

They go by the names “Peanut Butter Kisses” and IMHO taste almost the same as “Mary Jane” candies. Here’s something about both of them.

As for candy corn, there’s only one candy I like less…and actually despise…that would be “circus peanuts”. And I hope by writing that I am not denigrating anyone’s favorite candy.

BTW, “Good ‘n Plenty” is also on my “stay away from me!” list.

Agree - Circus Peanuts are vile.

Well, if and when I go to the movie theater, I always get Good ‘n’ Plenty and Nonpareils. So I’ll take your G&Ps. LOL

I don’t dislike Nonpareils…my mother always either one or more bought of a box of the “Sno-caps” brand, a box of “Dots”, a package of “Chuckles”, a package of Nestle “Bon-Bons” or the aforementioned “Good ‘n Plenty” at the movies. I shared her like of all but the “Good ‘n Plenty”. We also both liked “Mike ‘n Ikes”.

Those are called Molasses Kisses or Halloween Kisses in Canada. They still sell them but I don’t think too many kids receive them when they trick or treat. About a quarter of my haul was Halloween kisses when I was a kid.

I like Mary Jane’s. You all triggered an a 61 year old memory. Me & sis would go to a store and get a dime’s worth of penny candy. 10 cents was enough to fill the smallest size paper bag-- a little smaller then what bagged coffee comes in these days. The candy was always mixed up w/ MJ’s, hard candy, & a sesame one that I can’t remember. This was on St Croix U.S. VI. I used to despise candy corn but acquired a liking. Even so they’d be the last thing I’d chose.

The fruit flavored ones?

This is the real and only truth about candy corn:

The only Mike ‘n Ikes I know are all fruit flavored. But you may be referring to Good ‘n Plenty. If so, the Good ‘n Plenty I know is (black) licorice flavored. But they make a fruit flavored version called Good ‘n Fruity. I haven’t seen it since I returned to the US in March, but apparently it’s still made.

I don’t remember the flavor, but I recall it being very similar to Mike ‘n Ikes (which used to be only sold in a box of mixed flavors….now they have many types!

There were also Hot Tamales, which were made by the same company, but cinnamon-flavoured. All red.

Yes and Hot Tamales are apparently still one of their :fire: products, too!

Went looking for the sesame candy to reaffirm my memory but no joy. There’s lots of it out there – dozens of types & sizes. The ones we had were wrapped & same size as Mary Janes. I did find Charleston Chew though. which were in the bag too.
