Aaah, but we’ll be working on their summer bank holiday. (Great image though
LOL! I had a manager at work who was based in London. Once he reminded me that he’d have time to attend to work over the 4th of July unlike those of us in the US, “Because, understandably we do not celebrate here.”
Right now the 4th does loom large for us, but that’s for the election.
Judging by the coverage here in the US the elections are essentially over? I’d reveal the victorious party but a) I don’t want to be spoiler and b) HO frowns on political discussions.
Thomas Dewey thought HIS election was over, too!
To borrow from the sports world–“And that’s why they play the game,”
I especially appreciate that one (dances away).
Proper bargain these carrots grown in sunny Chernobyl. Perfect for brightening up any salad and helping you glow in the dark xx (from the Wakefield News)
I’m not surprised
I am. My Giant has pretty good produce–I’ve certainly never seen carrots like that.
My giants have consistently awful produce. Wasn’t the case before the family sold the chain to Royal Ahold. Giant used to be the place you went for top quality.
I didn’t realize they sold. But I know they can be inconsistent–my sister says the on closest to her home is awful, but the one the next town over is really good. I guess it depends on the store’s management?
Before they killed off peapod delivery here last year (after they bought it) they would deliver in refrigerated trucks straight from their warehouse. The produce was very fresh, unlike the stores.
Perhaps there’s the occasional Giant with good management; I haven’t come across one near me. Which is why I never do Instacart with giant Too risky.
That may be more of an issue with instacart than giant. We’re pretty lucky with the produce here
