I dined in for dinner a couple of days before Christmas. All the tables were full. Had to deal with an arctic breeze each time the front door opened.
EXCELLENT! That’s the right experience.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, YOU HOs!
Wondering what the very latest thinking is on SC ? It was our “favorite” for quite awhile a few years ago … but lately I find myself consistently choosing nearby JinLi ‘not far down the road in the NJ79/Ryan Road adjacent plaza as that big Asian food grocery store’ for IMHO fine takeout\delivery in that cuisine. A quick look at Yelp, etc. unfortunately seems to be less than favorable for SC to put it charitably. My immediate renewed interest in this topic is because we’re looking forward to some takeout for dinner Tuesday 7/8 evening LOL so thanks very much for any & all followup.
I’ll make your decision easier. Sichuan Cottage is closed Tuesdays.
Many thanks for that very timely reminder . Might give it a try for tonight (Monday) or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or next weekend … depending on replies here. We’re most receptive to any new info&insights.
We changed our plans, and got takeout which I picked up tonight (Monday) from SC — it was very delicious, much like we remembered from yesteryear. Prices were still very reasonable and portion sizes were quite ample allowing us to look forward to reprising a leftover or two at an upcoming lunch and/or dinner time. My wife enjoyed the chicken with broccoli while I had the General Tso’s as entrees; we also split an egg roll. I tried the spicy cold noodle with sesame sauce as my appetizer which I really liked. All in all, we’re both glad we gave SC a try again. Service @ the front register when picking up our food was very efficient & friendly — also the web online ordering process was thankfully seamless without any glitches or cryptic incantations involved: LOL. Based on tonight’s experience, I think SC is back on our “go-to” list.
