Shoutout to Shiraz in Elmsford! The Persian food is absolutely delicious–it’s got plenty of familiar Middle Eastern dishes but they’re really well executed and often packed with surprising flavors. And then there are the dishes we’d never seen before, such as faloodeh, a phenomenal dessert with cold/frozen rice noodles, rosewater, cardamom, lemon juice, sour cherry syrup, and saffron ice cream.) The service (which used to be pretty grumpy, even hostile) is lovely. Enjoy this place. It’s really unusual and worth checking out. And they have a little grocery store next door, with lots to explore. We got there too late last night but will plan better next time.
