I don’t know how I missed it but a Jamaican Restaurant opened last month on E Main St in Riverhead across from the old tRP location.
I love Jamaican food and it was nothing short of amazing.
I had the jerk chicken lunch special for only $7.50: Two nice pieces of chicken, salad, rice, beans and fried banana with a drink. WOW!!!
It’s a small place with a dining room upstairs. Enthusiastic servers (love that accent) and all the basic Jamaican specialties. The Jamaican Patties looked great. I’ll try them next visit.

Funny I just saw a writeup on Facebook earlier, rave reviews and they sound like really nice people too. Plus right in the heart of town; nice to have Jamaican in such a convenient spot out here.
