Hello - I am looking for a good Middle Eastern restaurant in Sevilla. I’ve read good things about Fatouch and AL Wadi. Any thoughts on which might be better? Or do you have another suggestion - a nice area for outdoor dining would be a big plus. Thanks very much.
My good friend, Shawn Hennessey, owner of Azahar Seville, the “queen of tapas” (designated by the London Times), who has lived there since 1993 and conducts tapas tours and sherry tastings, likes BEIRUTINA. Shawn is always my trusted guide to dining in Seville.

Thanks Maribel. Beirutina looks great, and I was about to book it, but then I realized that they are only open for breakfast and lunch. I’m looking for dinner recommendations. So if you can suggest one for dinner, that would be great.
In Azahar Seville, I did see that Fatouch was recommended. My only concern about Fatouch is that outdoor seating and inside seating were already fully booked for mid-September, although there is availability for what they call “salon” seating. Not sure what that is. But sometimes when a place gets too popular, standards can slip, and I was a little concerned that could have happened to Fatouch, although that may not be the case at all.
“Salón” seating means seating in the dining room. On Cover Manager, the restaurant’s booking site, there are 3 options, a high table, salón, which means low table in their dining room and “interior” (don’t know what “interior” means to them). I did a dummy booking for dinner for Sept. 17 and see a “salón” table available for 9 pm. Choose the “salón” option.
Yes, I forgot that Azahar had reviewed Fatouch and gave it 4 oranges.
Booked at Fatouch. Thank you!
