I’m pretty surprised there isn’t an existing discussion of the Sergeantsville Inn. I see a lot of you all are closer to the shore, whereas I live in Morris County, so its not exactly close to me either, but this place is really really excellent. In my mind superior to what I’ve eaten up by me, with a caveat that I have not been to any of the shore places like Lita, but I have eaten at most of the acclaimed places north of 78, and this place is better than all of them. Which isn’t to say those other places aren’t good.
Creative menu without being weird for weird sake, interesting wine list. Not cheap, but certainly worth the drive.
