Seeking answer to, IMHO, a huge Sushi Omakase related mystery? [Toronto]

Question: Has anyone been to SUSHI KAJI lately? How was the quality and quantity of food?

Reason for asking:

Doing research for a Sushi Omakase venue for Mother’s day.
Literally STUNNED when I saw SUSHI KAJI’S website posted Omakase price……$120 with appetizer, soup and dessert! Unheard of value!
Considering comparable authentic Japanese non-Michelin star venues include:
IBUSHI - $135
ZEN - $235
SUSHI TAKI - $ 135 -16O
………etc

Kaji’s price too good to be true?

Sorry, Charles, but the last time I went was over 15 years ago. I still remember the meal - excellent! Especially being served by Kaji himself.

Glad to see you’re finally venturing out west!

Willing to venture to the end of the world for good food!:face_savoring_food: :winking_face_with_tongue: :ok_hand:
My last meal there was summer last year. Incredible value for the quality and amount of food offered…….at least 15 nigiri pieces plus 3-4 otsumami, hand-roll, soba and dessert!
However, we definitely paid over $120 pp for our Omakase dinner! ( more like $160?! )

Hate to make a special trip all the way from Richmond Hill to end up eating inferior quality , ‘ down hill ‘ food?!!
