Santana Restaurant: Kovalam, Kerala [India]

This was one of many restaurants lining the seafront in Kovalam but the menu looked promising and I was in the mood for fish and they had a good number of fish dishes. I plumped for the fish molee and I was glad I did. The pieces of king fish were perfectly cooked and not at all dry which can be a danger in a fish curry. The sauce itself was light but packed full of flavour. Often coconut can get too rich but this had a bit of sourness , I think from lime juice and was nicely hot with chillis which also offset the richness.
