Solkatt on Lansdowne just north of Bloor has some interesting submarine sandwiches during the week.

Breakfast sando ($22) and eggs shaksugo ($20) at Simpl Things on Dunn in Parkdale. We would return. They take reservations and serve brunch daily.

The menu at brunch and lunch is more Italian- influenced, and the menu at night is more Asian- influenced.
