Newish Hong Kong cafe in San Carlos. Run by a brother sister team. Our first meal was decidedly mixed in result.
Baked pork chop rice- a soy sauce western staple. This was decent.
Fish/ cuttleball and beef ball noodle soup plus seaweed. The noodle was ok. The iceberg lettuce was odd in a hot noodle soup.
Weekend special- bbq pork/ char siu. Maybe a bit too much red coloring. The biggest problem was the marinade was a bit odd-tasting. Not a good rendition.
Lemon ice tea. Pretty good.
Their ventilation hood was a bit weak. The indoor space smelled strongly of kitchen grease. Sit outside.
