Heads up Houston, travel guru Samantha Bown premiers a new show tomorrow, Saturday Jan 13 at 2 p.m. on PBS Channel 8. The first episode focuses on Houston, so natch, Hugo Ortega is showcased. I know we have other restaurants in town, right? Just checking.

The show aired days ago in the rest of the country, but was delayed here due to ongoing KUHT Harvey repairs to its studio on the UH campus.

I saw a preview somewhere a few days ago - she also visits Phoenicia, which hasn’t gotten anywhere near as much publicity as Ortega, and the Continental Club.

The show was shot before Harvey.
