Salt grinder - does it have other usage?

even that doesn’t grind Himalayan salt of 3-4mm grain that well

If your mill cannot grind Himalayan salt properly, I have lost all incentive to keep it.
Interesting, I didn’t know that Himalayan salt is harder than normal sea salt.
