Sailing Goat Restaurant [Richmond, CA]

Continuing my tradition of going out for a fish-n-chips lunch for father’s day, we headed over the bridge to Port San Pablo in Richmond, CA for a bayfront meal. Sailing Goat took over the old Black Star Pirate BBQ place, right on the water and just 10 minutes off the highway but feels like the middle of nowhere. Fantastic site, I want to return for sunset dinner. All outdoor tables so you can bring your dog if you want and space for kids to run around. Order, pay, get a number then they bring you to a table then bring your food out. [more civilized than Fish where I always feel like it’s a competition for. seat]. Fish and chips were very good, super fresh cod and nice crispy batter, fries were dusted with paprika. Bacalhau was decent but kind of mild. Shrimp fitters were great, shrimp mixed with kale, Spanish chorizo and a lemony aioli. The pizzas looked great coming out of a wood oven on site.
