Row 34-Portsmouth NH

We took a ride to Portsmouth this weekend, as did about 80% of North of Boston residents. But it was fun, festive. Stores were lively and decorated nicely. Many had discounts. We picked up a few things here and there.
Ended up at Row 34, around 3:30-4:00, which in NH is Happy Hour!
$1.00 oysters for DH, $5.00 beers too, which we passed on but good to know.
There were a few other specials and the menu is different from our usual Burlington MA stop.
Six Beach Plum oysters, 4 shrimp, a bowl of chowder and a half order of clams/fries.
Was very good and we are planning a return trip. (apologies for the bad pictures)

I’m a fan of the Portsmouth location of Row 34 too. Impressed that you scored $1.00 oysters, which I hadn’t seen offered before. Oysters and a beverage there are a true pleasure.

I only wish that the lunch service in Portsmouth wasn’t limited to Friday-Sunday only. Sometimes we’re in the area on another day and would love to make a lunch stop.

I’ve only been to the Burlington Row 34, but I really like it. The 242 fries (the thick steak fry ones) … I don’t want to jinx it by saying this … but I think they might be the best French fries I’ve had as an adult. (I didn’t have better fries as a kid, I just had different taste buds.)

I like the skinny fries they offer. Good to dip in the chowder.
All the menus are slightly different at each location. And NH does the Happy Hour thing which we don’t have in MA.

I have yet to find a Row 34 location that wasn’t awesome (Fort Point original, Burlington, Portsmouth, Cambridge). I am still struggling to figure out how Michelin left them off their list (sorry, but Neptune is resting on its laurels. After two bad experiences in a row I’ve learned my lesson and will stick to Row 34 and Saltie Girl).

No longer a Select fan?

Last time we were at Select we got shunted to the back room. It felt a little like being trapped on a subway car.
