RIP, Zamir Kociaj

Not sure if this is an appropriate topic for this board, but I wanted to note the untimely passing of chef/restaurateur Zamir Kociaj, who owned and operated the great Trattoria Toscana in the Fenway for years before relocating to Salem, MA to open Firenze Trattoria. He really captured the soul of Tuscan cooking in a way I haven’t seen equaled in Boston, and he was a gentle, sweet soul to boot.

Only 49, from ALS, a terrible thing. RIP: https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/legacyremembers/zamir-kociaj-obituary?id=35009318

Thanks for letting us know. And, special thanks since you were the reason we first went to Trattoria Tonscan and became regulars there. You are a good scout. He was a great chef and a good man.
