She was certainly an icon in New Orleans! We ate lunch at her restaurant when we were in NOLA last year. Fried chicken -very tasty. While she was widely renowned, I’m sure that plucky lady worked harder in her 96 years than we will ever know. Happy she got the acclaim she deserved while she was still among us.
